Yes. We clean concrete tile, terracotta tile and Colorbond roofs with a low-pressure soft wash, not high pressure. It removes moss, lichen and grime and treats the spores at the source, without cracking tiles, stripping coatings or forcing water underneath.
If moss, lichen or dark staining has taken hold, usually yes. Left alone, that growth keeps spreading across tiles and sheeting, holds moisture against the surface and dulls the look of the whole house. Coastal and riverside roofs around Cottesloe, Mosman Park and North Fremantle grow it faster because of the humid, salty air.
High pressure can crack or dislodge tiles, strip the coating from Colorbond and push water under the roof. A soft wash kills the growth with a biodegradable treatment and rinses it off at low pressure, which is safer for the roof and slower for the growth to return.
